Story is set against the background of events relating to the last weeks of World War II in Germany. Special-Agent, Viktor Devine, working for the German Intelligence Agency (BND) finds himself and his family facing conspiracies led by a cabal of former Nazis and other foreign agents. Their objective is the retrieval of certain items carrying information about the last "Wunderwaffe" of the war (DIE GLOCKE The Bell), and its resurrection for their use in the present day.
