Branca is the story of Branca Dias, a woman who chose to fight against the Portuguese Inquisition. After being imprisoned, tortured and unjustly tried for heresy by the wicked inquisitor, Heitor Mendonca, she challenges the power of the Catholic Church and flees to Brazil with her children. Branca is determined to find a new life for her family, where they can have greater religious freedoms. However, she must continue to outsmart the inquisitor, who is passionately obsessed with her.
